“Believe in yourself, you are a hero to somebody already.” –That’s what Wonder Warrior for Super Kids is all about!
Being a child is tough, being a child with a Behavioral health challenge is even tougher. Trying to navigate in an ever-changing world that even adults don’t quite understand can be overwhelming. For a child dealing with a behavioral health issue those day-to-day challenges are even more demanding.
Wonder Warriors for Super Kids mission is to help kids realize that they are capable of conquering challenges AND thriving in a chaotic world – just like a superhero does.
Through therapeutic play, kids dress up as a super hero of their own creative design. Our super kids tell us who they are and what their gifts and super powers are, to the world. Through their imaginative world it is our hope that they discover just how special they are and give them a sense of courage and the confidence to believe in themselves.
We capture this in their own special photo shoot, leaving each Wonder Warriors child with their own super-hero poster. The image of themselves as a warrior is a reminder that they too have the courage and strength of a super hero, and that’s part of what makes them special. Each poster is branded with – “Believe in yourself, you are a hero to somebody already.”
